All boats for sale in Grenada →Grenada is the southernmost stop in the Eastern Caribbean’s main cruising chain, sitting at 12°N — below the official Atlantic hurricane belt’s southern boundary at 12°40′. That single fact reshapes a sailor’s calendar. The island lies 60 nautical miles south of St. Vincent and 80 north of Trinidad, with the smaller islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique completing the tri-island state. The main protected harbours run along the southwest coast: St. George’s and the Carenage at the capital, Prickly Bay and Mount Hartman Bay on the south coast, and Tyrrel Bay on Carriacou.
For boats coming south from St. Lucia, Bequia, and the Grenadines, Grenada is the practical answer to “where do I park during hurricane season.” Insurance underwriters recognise the southern Grenadines and Grenada as below the named-storm zone, which means lower premiums — or coverage at all — from June through November. The major service hubs are Port Louis Marina at St. George’s (full-service, megayacht-capable, in-berth fuelling, customs on-site) and Spice Island Marine Services at Prickly Bay (40-plus years of haul-out, refit, and storage). Camper & Nicholsons operates Port Louis. Provisioning, customs, and onward bareboat options are available year-round. Annual events anchor the season: the Budget Marine Round Grenada Regatta in November, Grenada Sailing Week in late January, and the Grenada Yacht Club’s traditional workboat regatta.
