2027 as published by the organiser at spicemasgrenada.com.

Grenada Carnival, known locally as Spicemas, is one of the Caribbean’s most energetic cultural festivals, celebrated each summer in St. George’s. The event blends traditional masquerade, soca music, and colorful street parades in a lively celebration of the island’s heritage and creativity.

Festivities build throughout July with calypso and soca competitions, steelpan performances, and cultural shows. The celebration reaches its peak during Carnival Monday and Tuesday, when thousands of masqueraders parade through the streets in vibrant costumes accompanied by music trucks and dancing crowds.

Signature events include J’ouvert Morning, where revelers take to the streets before sunrise covered in paint, oil, or mud, and Pretty Mas, the spectacular costume parade that showcases elaborate designs and high-energy performances.

With its electric atmosphere and authentic island spirit, Spicemas draws visitors, sailors, and carnival enthusiasts from around the Caribbean and beyond.
