Keeping customers happy is what Honda Marine, the Alpharetta, GA-headquartered marketer of four-stroke marine outboard motors, thrives on. It certainly shows. For the 17th year in a row, Honda won the 2019 Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award from the National Marine Manufacturers Association. The NMMA, based in Chicago, IL, is the leading association representing recreational boating in North America.

“Honda Marine is proud to have once again earned the CSI recognition from NMMA. This award spotlights our mission to continuously improve and innovate—offering products that enhance the boating experience for our customers,” says Will Walton, vice president for Honda Power Equipment. “Our ability to serve the heart of the marine market and provide customers what they want and need stems from paying close attention to overall trends, listening to user feedback, and ensuring that our comprehensive product lineup sets the standard for fuel efficiency and ease of use—all while staying true to the core Honda attributes of durability, quality, reliability and quiet operation.”

The NMMA’s CSI award is based on the overall satisfaction rating of owners for their outboard engines and acknowledges companies that actively measure customer satisfaction to pursue continuous improvement. Award recipients have achieved and maintained an independently measured standard of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction during the past year, based on customer surveys.
