Nadal’s New Yacht, Maybe Coming to an Island Near You!

Built at Sunreef Yachts shipyard in Gdansk, Poland, the 80-foot catamaran was officially delivered to Nadal at his birthplace of Mallorca

The Caribbean is no stranger as a yachting destination of the rich and famous. Bob Geffen’s Rising Sun, Roman Abramovich’s Eclipse and Bernard Arnault’s Symphony have all plied these waters. The latest celebrity that may soon come this way, if his outings to the Bahamas last year are any indication, is tennis star, Rafael Nadal. Nadal picked up a brand new Sunreef 80 in June. Built at Sunreef Yachts shipyard in Gdansk, Poland, the 80-foot catamaran was officially delivered to Nadal at his birthplace of Mallorca by the president and founder of the eco-luxury catamaran builder, Francis Lapp.

“This is an unforgettable event for our shipyard to hand over the yacht to such an amazing person and athlete as is Rafael Nadal. My team in Gdańsk made every effort to create the yacht Rafa and his wife Maria dreamed of. I am convinced that they will have a great time with their friends and family on board,” said Lapp, in a release.
