Girlsforsail is entering another extremely competitive all girl crew in the 2012 Grenada Sailing Festival. For the second year running the crew will compete in the Racer Cruising Class with the company’s fast Elan 37 Diamonds Are Forever. Girlsforsail is part of GFS Events, a well established racing charter company with bases in the UK’s Isle of Wight, Antigua and St.Lucia, and has been specialising in providing charters for all girl crews for over ten years. The company has yachts and crews entered in a wide range of prestigious events and regattas including Cowes Week; Fastnet; Heineken Regatta, St. Maarten; International Rolex Regatta, St. Thomas; BVI Spring Regatta and Antigua Race Week. Now the Grenada Sailing Festival is also firmly fixed on the company’s racing calendar.

The girlsforsail crew had some good results at the 2011 Festival, and featured more than once in the top places in their class. The girls taking part for 2012 are looking forward to bettering this, so watch out for them at the prize presentation parties. For more information and news on new entries check the Festival website www.grenadasailingfestival.com & follow us on Facebook.

Grenada Sailing Festival Camper & Nicholsons Racing Series will take place from Friday 27 January to Tuesday 31 January, based at the company’s Port Louis Marina. The four days of racing will start with the Mount Gay Race Series on Saturday 28 January, with courses off Grand Anse and Point Salines, followed by the SOL EC Race on Sunday morning. On Monday the True Blue Bay Resort Pursuit Race will bring the fleet round from Port Louis Marina to the south eastern coast for the Budget Marine Race Series, and on the final Tuesday, 31 January, the Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Race will be staged.

As always, challenging top quality racing will go hand in hand with great after-race events, parties and prize presentations, with a focus on the action in The Victory Bar at Port Louis Marina. To ring the changes, the organisers are also staging a party at The Dodgy Dock, True Blue Bay Resort, which over past years has proved to be a firm favourite with yachtsmen and women taking part in the Festival.
