Aruba is well-known for being safely located outside the hurricane belt and our Marina; Varadero Aruba Marina & Boatyard is located behind a protective reef making it one of the safest places for vessel storage during hurricane season.
Customs & Immigration
When entering Aruba you have to go through Customs and Immigration at the Barcadera Port. This needs to be done before anchoring. Here they will conduct the mandatory Coronavirus testing. After this procedure you will be assigned an anchor location in front of Varadero Marina.
Guidance Procedure
On Navionics charts it may look like the depth is very limited. However, you will find that we have a safe buoyed channel to cross from the reef to the Marina. The channel has a depth of 7.8 feet.
Quarantine
Per government regulation you will have to stay in quarantine for a period of two (2) weeks. During this period, we offer you a safe anchoring spot close to our Marina. There is free WIFI signal available from our “Fish House” restaurant. Please use the “drinkmore” password to connect. Depending on your assigned anchored location you may need a local sim card which can also be arranged by our team. We provide delivery of meals from our on-site restaurant or you can order food online which we will also be delivered to your boat. Once the quarantine period is completed, we will provide you with a wide range of services.
Varadero Marina & Boatyard Services
We offer a dry storage ‘’free zone’’ where the boat can remain tax free for as long as needed. Goods such as spare parts, can be sent to our office tax free when your boat is in the free zone. If you prefer to remain in the water we can provide you a wet-slip.
Varadero is the only boatyard in the ABC island region that can lift boats with a beam greater than 35 feet. This is thanks to the two Roodberg trailers that we operate. With one clocking in at 20 tons and the other at a whopping 60 tons, we have the capability to lift monohulls and multihulls that are up to 80 feet long and have a maximum beam of 42 feet. Our trailers have soft pads that provide the safest and most efficient way to haul your boat.

Accommodation
You may stay on board in our safe boatyard but in case you prefer to stay in an apartment we recently opened 6 brand new Varadero guest rooms which are located right across our marina.
