United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 11-1 Clearwater, is offering the widely acclaimed “About Boating Safely will be held February 9th and 10th . Whether you’re new to boating or a seasoned boater, this boating safety class has something important for you. The classroom is conveniently located at 510 – 516 North Fort Harrison Street, Clearwater, Florida. Classes start promptly at 8:00 am. Convenient parking is free.
Unlike internet courses, the ABS Class is taught by Certified United States Coast Guard AUX instructors who can answer your questions and share their experiences on our local waters. Topics include: Boating Emergencies, Know Your Boat, Getting Underway, Navigating, Operating Your Boat Safely, Legal Requirements, and free Vessel Safety Checks with Decal. This class saves lives and property. All graduates receive a lifetime “Florida Boating Safety Education I.D Card.” Materials are $40.00.
