IGY Marinas announces the recent hiring of Charlie Irons as the Director of Operations for its flagship destination, Yacht Haven Grande St. Thomas, USVI. Charlie comes to IGY with key international luxury destination management experience spanning from New York to Mexico. His management background includes positions at top hotel chains including Soho House, Hyatt and Starwood, bringing a range of skill sets to chart the next steps for the property including tenant services, cruise ship customer growth and hotel development.

“With 21 years of experience managing Five Star establishments, and given the upscale nature of Yacht Haven Grande and its collection of luxury level retailers and dining establishments, Irons is the ideal candidate to run the property”, says Kenny Jones, Executive Vice President of Operations for IGY.

Yacht Haven Grande is a dynamic waterfront property with over 130,000 square feet of luxury office and commercial retail space nestled within Charlotte Amalie, one of the Caribbean’s most stunning seaside destinations and busiest cruise-ship ports.  High-end retailers such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Ferragamo in addition to a variety of local and regional shopping and dining choices make Yacht Haven Grande a truly unique and breathtaking itinerary stop for locals and visitors alike.  Yacht Haven Grande’s specially designed superyacht marina caters to the world’s largest private and charter vessels. With the capacity to berth and service yachts over 600 feet, the 46-berth marina also provides a stunning waterfront backdrop to an already captivating property.
