The newest water toys and electric watercraft were on full display at Boot Düsseldorf 2026, the world’s largest yacht and water sports trade fair held each January in Düsseldorf, Germany.

From floating lounge platforms to next-generation hydrofoil craft, manufacturers are continuing to push the boundaries of on-water recreation. Here are three standout products that caught our attention this year.

Hangout Shade by BOTE

Florida-based BOTE, headquartered in Miramar, has introduced the Hangout Shade, a portable inflatable canopy designed to bring sun protection to social gatherings on the water.

The shade is designed to integrate with BOTE’s Hangout Dock 7 and Hangout Dock 10, expanding the company’s modular Hangout Suite of inflatable platforms.

Built with an AeroTech PVC inflatable frame, the canopy is offered in two sizes and provides approximately 49 or 100 square feet of UPF 50+ sun protection.

Mesh sidewalls encourage airflow while soft grab handles, low-profile attachment loops, and spring-loaded valves help simplify setup and packing. The canopy can also be used ashore for beach days or dockside gatherings.

Built on the Flite AIR platform, the board is compact enough for easy onboard storage yet buoyant and stable enough for beginners. Reinforced construction allows it to handle docks, decks, and shoreline launches with ease.

Designed to complement Axopar’s adventure boats, the eFoil allows riders to explore quiet bays, narrow passages, and shallow coastlines without requiring a traditional beach launch.

NAVI Foiler by Awake

Copenhagen-based Awake, known for its electric surfboards, has introduced NAVI, a new type of electric watercraft the company calls a Foiler.

Developed with the Mannerfelt Design Team, NAVI uses hydrofoil technology to lift its carbon-composite hull above the water’s surface. The design reduces drag, spray, and noise while delivering a smooth, nearly silent ride.

The seated craft uses intuitive motorcycle-style controls and detachable inflatable side tubes that allow it to carry two riders or convert to a solo foiler.

Powered by electric propulsion, NAVI can achieve riding times of up to three hours with dual batteries.

Available: August 2026
Price: $46,800
