Sail Towards Sustainability: Antigua Summer Sailing Camp for Teens
Teens can sail, learn, and protect the ocean at Second Star Sailing’s 12-day Antigua summer camp. RYA certifications, marine conservation, and fun!
Summer vacation is on the horizon, and an unforgettable adventure awaits! Teens ages 16 to 18 with little or no sailing experience can now register for Second Star Sailing’s Sail Towards Sustainability Summer Camp, taking place June 30–July 11, 2025, in Antigua.
Hosted by the RYA-accredited Second Star Sailing Training Center at Jolly Harbour Marina, this immersive 12-day liveaboard program teaches participants core sailing skills while also diving deep into ocean conservation. Campers will work toward certifications including RYA Competent Crew, VHF Radio, First Aid, and a Sea Survival Course—all while living aboard a sailboat in the beautiful Caribbean.
In addition to sailing, the program emphasizes marine conservation and sustainability through hands-on activities with local partners such as the Elkhorn Marine Conservancy, Environmental Awareness Group, and Adopt a Coastline. Teens will explore coral reef health, learn about ocean ecosystems, and participate in coastal cleanups—gaining critical life skills and a deeper connection to the sea.
Enrollment is limited to just 14 teens, and spots are expected to fill quickly. The all-inclusive camp costs $4,750 USD per person, and the application deadline is April 30, 2025.
