Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Host Olympic Surfing Qualifiers
The world's best surfers battle for a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics at the ISA World Surfing Games in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. This prestigious event takes place from February 22nd to March 2nd, 2024.
Twelve individual surfers plus top-ranked men’s and women’s national teams will earn an Olympic slot this month, the culmination of a two-year qualification process. The 2024 ISA World Surfing Games, the final stage of surfing qualification for the Summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, will be held in Puerto Rico’s northern coast town of Arecibo from February 22 to March 2.
Puerto Rico’s iconic coastline is filled with consistent world-class waves that have played host to many incredible moments in surfing history, from the 1968 and 1988 ISA World Surfing Championships through to the 2022 ISA World SUP & Paddleboard Championship.
