Cruising to the Caribbean this summer or fall? Be sure you have the latest DKW Imray chart, the DWK ID100, for the Eastern Caribbean. This digital chart can be used in the navigation program WinGPS. Since 2009, the Netherlands-headquartered Stentec Software has published the well-known Imray charts in digital format.
Specifically, “the charts A24, A271, A28, B, B1 and B32 are updated,” says Marianne Baričević-Kuik, Stentec’s sales and marketing manager. “They cover the areas of Anguilla, St Martin, St. Barthelemy, North Coast of Antigua, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia, Carriacou to Grenada and the passage chart of Martinique to Trinidad. The colors on these charts are brighter and the lights are clearer and now mostly shown in the real color, instead of the Imray colors (purple, green and beige). Also, the known changes in the buoyage, depths and harbors are implemented in the charts. Altogether, these updates will give you a safer chart which is easier to use because of the updated chart view.”
