A Weekend of Racing and Community Spirit
The 2025 Crucian Open was more than a regatta—it was a celebration of sailing and island culture. The event opened on Friday evening with a performance by Mama’s Black Sheep, setting the stage for an exciting weekend.
Sailors participated in an Opti Tune-Up session with practice races to sharpen their skills ahead of the main competition.
On Saturday, the first day of the regatta featured ideal conditions with steady winds of 10-15 knots, creating an exciting challenge for the competitors. The newly added 29er class brought additional energy to the event.
Sunday continued with more competitive racing as spectators enjoyed a Sunday brunch prepared by Chef Lori. The weather remained favorable, with a mix of sun and clouds and wind speeds ranging from 12 to 18 knots.
