Lagoon Marina is the lead sponsor for sailing yacht Synergy that will be racing in the 27th annual St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. The Lagoon Marina crew will be sporting its trademark RED whilst trying to live up the reputation Synergy has gained as a serious offshore racer over the past year.In an unprecedented victory, St. Maarten based Synergy, helmed by owner Lea de Haas and crewed by an all-female team of sailors from St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands, won her class and division as well as received the first annual Carleton Mitchell Navigators award in the 2006 Centennial Newport Bermuda Race.
