Casa de Campo Blue Marlin Classic

More and more sportfishing boats are arriving at Marina Casa de Campo each day and excitement is starting to mount for the inaugural Casa de Campo Blue Marlin Classic scheduled for March 20th to 24th.

Thanks to great tournament sponsors like Casa de Campo, Costa del Mar, Toy Box, Heineken Beer, Baja Lures, Johnny Walker Black, Mojo, CocaCola, Shimano, Bost Lures, AFTCO, Panama Jack, Pompanette, Europcar, Mustad, Jarrett Bay and many others along with the participation of so many of our friends from the top teams that fish the Caribbean Circuit, things are taking shape and all indications are that we are in for a great tournament.

Observer Coordinator Tracey Preston reports that there is a group of highly experienced Certified Observers that have signed up for the event to ensure that IGFA guidelines and tournament rules are followed and most importantly, to prevent rule infractions.

Onshore activities are being carefully and tastefully coordinated by committee members Vilma, Alicia and Jesmin with great music, entertainment, great food and fine spirits so that all attendees will have an awesome time during the event.

Last but not least, by popular demand, the tournament committee has unanimously decided to make this a 30-pound-test tournament. Many of you had suggested this and we listened.

If you need hotel accommodations contact Casa de Campo and speak to Miss Bibia Marte or Mrs. America Mena at (809) 523-8734 or (786) 693-8417.  Be sure you mention you are attending the tournament so they confirm you the Special Event Rate.

We look forward to the pleasure of your company in Casa de Campo and ask at this time that you please inform us of your participation.  We need to have a head count as accurate as possible.  If you haven’t registered yet, please do so by visiting our website www.intlbillfishtourns.com and click on the tournament logo that appears on the left hand side of the home page.  If you have difficulty with online registration, send us an email and we will send you a registration form that you can print, fill out by hand, scan it and email it back to us or fax it to (305) 385-1906.  We remind everyone that we will be benefitting Hogar del Niño visitwww.hogardelnino.com/

See you next month!
