Guadeloupe Yacht Concierge Launches Marine Survey Division

Guadeloupe Yacht Concierge has launched Caribbean Yacht Surveys, a new division offering independent pre-purchase, insurance, and condition surveys for yachts throughout the region — led by a Lloyd’s Maritime Academy-certified surveyor based at Marina Bas-du-Fort.

Yacht owners, captains and crews making an Atlantic landfall, gearing up for a Caribbean regatta or considering a vessel purchase, and more, now have access to expanded marine survey and technical support services in the centrally located island of Guadeloupe. The new Caribbean Yacht Surveys division of Guadeloupe Yacht Concierge offers independent pre-purchase, condition and insurance surveys, damage assessments, rig and deck inspections, market valuation reports, and technical assistance for sailing yachts, motor yachts and superyachts throughout the region. In addition to marine surveys, the company offers pre-passage inspections, engine room checks, structural assessments, refit planning and coordination with local shipyards and marine contractors.

The division is led by Jean Groenewald, a marine surveyor certified through Lloyd’s Maritime Academy who also holds an MCA Master 200GT license and brings more than 20 years of offshore and professional maritime experience to the role.
