Two of the best sailors in the Caribbean have the same make of boat in common. Puerto Rico’s Sergio Sagramoso’s Grand Soleil 58 won last year’s Spanish Virgin Islands 100, while fellow islander Jose Teixidor helmed his Grand Soleiel 52, Cachondo to second in class at this year’s Les Voiles de St. Barths. The good news for anyone who wants to follow this trend is that Sagramoso has teamed up with fellow Puerto Rican sailor, Fraito Lugo, to represent the Italian-built Grand Soleil brand, both sail and motor yachts, in the Caribbean.

“Grand Soleil enjoys a good reputation with demanding sailors who are looking for a comfortable option but at the same time fast displacement,” says Lugo. “Here in Puerto Rico, we have 5 Grand Soleil: a 54-foot, two 52 LC Sport, a 58-foot and a 46 LC. The latter has been the most successful model for its extraordinary interior comfort and excellent performance. In the motor boats, we have Pardo 38, 43 and 50.

We also offer technical support and guarantees for the Caribbean and Central America and sales and service at Pardo Yachts in Miami.”

For information, call (787) 378-5032 or (787) 403-5889 or Email: ssagramos@gmail.com or poncesail@yahoo.com
