St. Croix International Regatta, St. Croix Yacht Club
April 14 - April 15

The main event two-day regatta will kick-off with the warm-up Captain Nick’s Race on April 16. Then, entrants in CSA Racing, Non-Spinnaker, Multihull and one-design Rhodes 19 will race in the Buck Island Channel to the northeast of this southernmost U.S. Virgin Islands. “This year’s event will definitely be low-key. There won’t be any big entertainment since with the size of our Club we are restricted to 75 people due to COVID-19 precautions. Mainly it will be just local sailors, and the ones I talked to just want to get out and race,” says Karen Stanton, regatta director. There will be a sailors breakfast available, food and drink for sale after the races, a rubber ducky race onshore after racing on April 17 with proceeds benefiting the Club’s junior sailing program, and the traditional weight in rum prize for the winning skipper. www.stcroixyc.com
