Likely the largest lighted boat parade on the Chesapeake by fleet size, with close to a hundred boats looping the creeks of Middle River on Thanksgiving weekend. It is a neighbourhood affair run from Facebook, best watched from the river’s parks and crab-house decks.
- Starts: 17:30 from Stansbury Yacht Basin; ends there around 19:45-20:15
- Route: Starts at Stansbury Yacht Basin and loops the river: Dark Head Cove/Carson’s Creekside, Middle River Yacht Club, Norman Creek, Bauernschmidt Manor/Eastern Yacht Club, Turkey Point, Bowleys Quarters, Frog Mortar Creek, and back to Stansbury.
- Where to watch: Wilson Point Park (Dark Head Cove), Kingston Park, Turkey Point Park; waterfront restaurants such as Carson’s Creekside, Bowleys on the Bay and Loonaseas.
