One day, several fleets and plenty of racing fill Coral Bay for this St. John Thanksgiving tradition. Lasers, catamarans, IC24s and Optis start at 10 a.m. for multiple races, with KATS (Kids and the Sea) sailors competing across all classes. At noon, keelboats start off Johnson Bay for a race around Flanagan Island. “Spectators should join us in the KATS area for awards and shenanigans directly following the regatta,” says Jamie Brown, Coral Bay Yacht Club vice commodore. Festivities start around 3 p.m., with live music and food and drinks available for purchase.
