Whether for repairs or respite, it will be even easier to find a slip at Curacao Marine next year. The nearly 30,000-square yard located on Schottegat Harbor, near Curacao’s capital of Willemstad, currently has a 140-plus dry berth capacity and 40 marina slips. In 2020, owners plan to add another 22 wet berths.
“We will be upgrading our marina to 62 slips, each with new water and electricity pedestals,” says Marc Anthony Rooijakkers, managing director. “In addition, we will have a completely new floating dock and will add two new rental cars to our fleet so we will have six cars total.”
Curacao Marine is known for its hydraulic Roodberg towed slipway trailer, which can haul mono and multihull yachts up to 60 tons. In Willemstad, less than 4 miles away by car, there are a number of sights, shops and restaurants. www.curacaomarine.com
