Westrec Marinas vice president Jim Frye announced today that, effective immediately, Travis Staats takes over the helm as Marina Manager at the Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor (CCYH) in St. Augustine, Florida.
Staats joined the team at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor in May of 2005 upon completion of his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management from Flagler College in St Augustine. He has since worked in every facet of the harbor operation and in October 2011 earned a state license for Class “C” Drinking Water Plant Operation, then becoming the Plant Manager for the Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor Utility.
In January of 2015 Travis was promoted to the role of Real Estate Manager at Camachee and took on the maintenance and development responsibilities at the marina along with the role of managing the marina’s commercial and retail tenants.
“Travis’s experience and personality are well-suited to take the helm here at CCYH,” says Frye. Westrec Marina Management has been working with the staff at CCYH assisting in a renovation and upgrading of the marina. “We’re helping this first-class marina be better poised to serve their customer base and to attract more activity to the marina. Travis is the ideal choice to lead the group through this transition and improvement,” continues Frye.
