Alyah Mohabir Wins Volunteer of the Year Award from VIconic Training Academy
Alyah Mohabir, sales administrator at Parts & Power, was named Volunteer of the Year by VIconic Training Academy for her community service in the BVI.
Congratulations to Alyah Mohabir! The sales administrator for Parts & Power, the largest supplier of diesel engines in the Eastern Caribbean, was honored as Volunteer of the Year by the VIconic Training Academy on October 18 at Government House in Road Town, Tortola, BVI.
Mohabir received:
- A Volunteer of the Year trophy
- A $2,500 scholarship
- A new iPad
Dedication to Community Service
Beyond her full-time role at Parts & Power and attending university online, Mohabir actively contributes to numerous community initiatives, including:
- Rotaract
- Girls Up BVI
- Unite BVI
- Kids And The Sea Swim (KATSWIM), where she serves as a swim instructor

A Journey of Growth and Leadership
Mohabir’s connection to Parts & Power began while completing an academic project at Cedar High School in Tortola. Inspired by the company’s commitment to community service, particularly through Rotary and Kids And The Sea (KATS), she chose to profile the company.
Following her graduation in 2023, she joined Parts & Power, initially working in accounts before expanding her responsibilities to include:
- Auditing
- Inventory control
- Sales
