Baltimore welcomes the new year with a roughly 15-minute midnight fireworks show over the Inner Harbor. The display usually goes up at midnight. Where to watch: From the water: midnight barges in the Inner Harbor with standing 100-yard and 800-foot zones; dinner cruises are the usual way afloat in winter. Ashore: the Inner Harbor promenade, Federal Hill and Harbor East.
