Seventy charter yachts and 155 brokers and management company agents are already registered for this year’s show. The fleet averages 58 feet, ranging from a 45-foot Fountaine Pajot Elba to several 80-footers. New on the docks is Sea Goddess, a brand-new 60-foot Sunpower ALVA Solar-E. For the second year, yachts will also be displayed at Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour. Water toys remain popular with charter guests, while another trend is quieter nights. “We are starting to see yachts promote their ability to offer silent nights” using lithium battery banks, says Janet Oliver, executive director of the Charter Yacht Society of the BVI.
