A groundbreaking initiative launched in December at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is creating new opportunities for talented Caribbean nationals aged 18 to 25 to enter the superyacht industry. The Caribbean Crew Scholarship, a collaboration between Burgess, the Antigua & Barbuda Sailing Association, and Ondeck Training Maritime, covers the cost of essential training, including:

  • STCW Certification (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping)
  • PDSD Certification (Proficiency in Designated Security Duties)
  • Mentorship, networking, and industry connections to help recipients secure full-time roles

With the support of Burgess 360 services, recipients gain the skills and knowledge needed for successful and rewarding careers at sea.
