Virginia Beach’s Oceanfront concerts lead up to a barge-launched fireworks display off 24th Street. The display usually goes up at 9:30 pm. Where to watch: From the water: the barge sits just off the beach near 24th Street and the Coast Guard closes 1,000 yards around it (between 17th and 31st Streets), so boats watch from farther offshore. Ashore: anywhere along the Oceanfront; concerts at 17th, 24th and 31st Street parks from 7:30 pm.
