Jacksonville fires its Independence Day show from barges on the St. Johns River downtown, with cascades off the Acosta and Main Street bridges. The display usually goes up at 9:00 pm. Where to watch: From the water: the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office designates boater viewing areas (two on the Southbank in 2026, shown on its map) and closes the rest of the downtown river; check the JSO map before going. Fireworks fire from river barges and cascade off the Acosta and Main Street bridges, and the standing 500-yard barge zone applies. Ashore: Northbank and Southbank Riverwalks.
