Carolina Beach’s own flotilla anchors the town’s month-long Island of Lights festival, sending lit fishing boats and pleasure craft down the waterway from Snows Cut to the boat basin the day after the town’s street parade. Spectators vote by text for a People’s Choice winner alongside judged size classes.
