Superyacht Challenge Antigua
The Superyacht Challenge Antigua is an annual invitational regatta designed specifically for large sailing yachts, combining competitive racing with a relaxed and collegial atmosphere. Held in the waters off Antigua and based out of Nelson’s Dockyard, the event brings together an impressive fleet of classic and modern sailing superyachts for several days of racing in ideal Caribbean conditions.
First launched in 2011, the regatta was created to offer superyacht owners and crews a friendly racing environment that emphasizes sportsmanship and camaraderie. Organized by Antigua Yacht Club in collaboration with leading figures in the superyacht sailing community, the event typically features pursuit-style races that allow yachts of different sizes and performance characteristics to compete closely on the water.
In addition to the racing, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua includes a series of social gatherings, dockside events, and prizegivings that highlight the unique culture of the international superyacht fleet. The combination of world-class sailing conditions, historic surroundings, and a welcoming atmosphere has made the event a favorite on the Caribbean superyacht racing calendar.
