Winners are determined primarily by total verified reader votes, subject to verification, fraud screening, and Sponsor discretion.
Winners are recognized in ALL AT SEA Caribbean Magazine and at allatsea.net.
We reserve the right to remove obviously fraudulent votes, bot traffic, or ballot-stuffing.

1. The Contest

“Best Waterfront Bar in the Caribbean 2026” (the “Contest”) is a reader-voted editorial program operated by Kennan Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company, operating as ALL AT SEA Magazine (“ALL AT SEA,” “Sponsor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It is the inaugural contest in a rolling series of ALL AT SEA Caribbean Marine Awards. The Contest identifies the best waterfront bar in the Caribbean region, as determined by public vote, with overall and regional recognition awarded across the three Caribbean sub-regions defined in Section 4.

2. Contest Period

The Contest opens for voting on April 22, 2026 at 12:00 AM AST and closes at 11:59 PM AST on November 30, 2026 (the “Contest Period”). Sponsor’s designated server clock is the official timekeeper.

Winners will be announced no later than January 31, 2027 in ALL AT SEA Caribbean Magazine, at allatsea.net/awards, and/or through Sponsor’s other editorial channels.

All dates and times are subject to change at Sponsor’s discretion with reasonable notice posted to allatsea.net/awards.

3. Eligibility to Participate (Voters)

Voting is open to individuals who, at the time of voting, are:

a. at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater; and b. not an employee, contractor, officer, director, or immediate family member (parent, child, sibling, spouse) of Sponsor.

There is no residency requirement — participants from any country are welcome. Owners, operators, and employees of venues nominated in the Contest are permitted to vote in good faith but are prohibited from orchestrating coordinated voting campaigns from shared infrastructure (see Section 6).

The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. Eligibility to Be Nominated (Venues) and Regional Framework

To be eligible for nomination, a venue must: (a) be a licensed and actively operating bar, tavern, pub, beach bar, restaurant-with-bar, or similar hospitality establishment; (b) be located in the Caribbean region; and (c) have a substantive waterfront location such that the venue is directly adjacent to, overlooks, or is reasonably accessible from the water, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Venues that have permanently closed or are otherwise unable to receive recognition are not eligible.

The Caribbean region for purposes of this Contest is divided into three (3) regional divisions: Eastern Caribbean, Southern Caribbean, and Western Caribbean. The specific islands and locales falling within each regional division are published on the Contest page at allatsea.net/awards/best-waterfront-bar-2026 and may be updated, expanded, or refined by Sponsor at any time during the Contest Period. The nomination form includes a facility for voters to flag locations not presently listed; Sponsor will review such submissions and may add new locales to the framework.

If, in Sponsor’s reasonable judgement, the total vote volume in any regional division is insufficient to produce a credible regional winner, Sponsor may at its discretion forgo the named regional winner in favor of an honourable-mention list or other form of recognition.

Sponsor reserves the right to adjust regional classifications, add or consolidate locales, or otherwise modify the framework as necessary.

5. How to Vote

Voting takes place exclusively online at allatsea.net/awards via the nomination form published on the Contest page. Submitting the nomination form constitutes a vote.

Each voter may submit up to three (3) picks per submission. Each pick identifies one waterfront bar by name and the island on which it is located. Each pick counts as one vote for the named bar on the named island.

To vote, provide the venue name(s), the island(s), your first name (optional), and a valid email address. You must affirm that you are 18 years of age or older and agree to these Rules. You may optionally opt in to receive the ALL AT SEA newsletter; opting in is not required to vote.

Only one (1) submission per email address will be counted. If multiple submissions are received from the same email address during the Contest Period, only the most recent submission will be deemed valid and will replace all prior submissions associated with that email address, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Same bar name voted twice by the same email address counts as one vote (not two). Same bar name appearing on two different islands counts as two different entries (e.g., a bar called “Soggy Dollar” on Jost Van Dyke is a different entry than a bar of the same name on Sint Maarten).

Submission of a vote does not guarantee that such vote will be included in any publicly displayed totals or interim rankings.

6. Voting Rules and Fraud Prevention

Each vote requires a valid, verifiable email address. Sponsor employs automated and manual measures to detect and remove fraudulent votes, including but not limited to: duplicate email detection, disposable-email-provider filtering, IP-based rate limiting, anomaly detection on voting patterns, and manual review of suspicious activity.

Sponsor reserves sole discretion to invalidate any vote it determines to be fraudulent, automated, or in violation of these Rules, and to disqualify venues whose supporters are found to have engaged in systematic vote manipulation, with or without notice to participants or affected venues.

Organized “get out the vote” efforts by venue owners, staff, customers, friends, and the public at large are encouraged and are not considered vote manipulation. What is prohibited is the casting of multiple votes per person, the use of fake or stolen identities, automated voting scripts or bots, coordinated submissions from shared infrastructure for the apparent purpose of inflating counts, and the use of disposable, anonymous, or role-based email addresses.

Vote totals and any publicly displayed rankings or percentages may be adjusted, recalculated, estimated, or withheld by Sponsor at any time to account for verification, fraud detection, or data integrity considerations.

Sponsor is not obligated to publicly display all eligible votes or all eligible venues at any time.

7. Recognition

Winners are recognized in ALL AT SEA Caribbean Magazine, at allatsea.net, and through Sponsor’s other editorial and marketing channels. Additional acknowledgment, if any, is provided at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

No purchase or payment is required to be nominated, to vote, or to be recognized as a winner. Recognition is editorial in nature, has no cash equivalent, is non-transferable, and may be modified in form, scope, or timing by Sponsor at any time prior to or during winner notification.

8. Selection of Winners

The winning venue in each category is the venue that receives the highest number of verified votes at the close of the Contest Period, as determined by Sponsor. Sponsor may, but is not obligated to, publish interim rankings, approximate percentages, or other indicators of voting trends during the Contest Period. Such interim displays are for informational, illustrative, and promotional purposes only and do not represent final, verified, or official results. The Overall Caribbean Winner is the single venue across all regions that receives the most total verified votes.

In the event of a tie, the venue that received its qualifying final vote earlier (timestamped) will be declared the winner. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to apply an additional tie-breaking method if necessary to ensure a fair and credible outcome.

Sponsor reserves the right to exclude any venue from winner determination if it does not meet eligibility requirements per Section 4, appears to be inauthentic, or has been the subject of vote manipulation under Section 6.

Winner decisions are final.

9. Winner Notification and Publicity

Winners will be notified no later than January 31, 2027 via direct outreach to the venue using publicly available contact information and/or contact information provided during the Contest Period. Sponsor may also notify the voter who nominated the winning venue as a secondary courtesy. Winners have thirty (30) days from initial notification to acknowledge the recognition. Unclaimed recognition after thirty (30) days may be forfeited at Sponsor’s discretion and, at Sponsor’s option, the corresponding designation may be awarded to the next-highest vote-receiving eligible venue.

Sponsor reserves the right to identify, publish, and promote finalists, runners-up, or notable venues based on vote totals or editorial selection. Such recognition may be used in editorial, promotional, or marketing materials at Sponsor’s discretion. Sponsor may present recognized venues in ranked or unranked formats at its sole discretion.

By participating in the Contest, each voter grants Sponsor the non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to publish the voter’s first name and last initial (but not their full name without separate consent), the name and location of the venue(s) they voted for, and any associated comments, in ALL AT SEA Caribbean Magazine, at allatsea.net, on Sponsor’s social media channels, and in derivative marketing or promotional materials related to the Contest and the broader ALL AT SEA Caribbean Marine Awards program.

Recognized venues grant Sponsor the irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right to use the venue’s name, location, publicly available photography of the venue (with attribution where required), summary descriptive information, and the fact of its recognition in advertising, marketing, and publicity materials in any medium in connection with the announcement and ongoing recognition of the Contest results, without additional compensation.

Recognition as a winner, finalist, or participant in the Contest does not imply any ongoing partnership, endorsement, or commercial relationship between Sponsor and the venue beyond the scope of this Contest.

10. Privacy and Data Handling

Sponsor collects email addresses, optional first names, and voting data in order to operate this Contest. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the ALL AT SEA Privacy Policy, available at allatsea.net/privacy-policy.

Email addresses provided for Contest participation will be used to:

a. identify unique voters for vote-integrity purposes; b. contact voters if they nominated a winning venue, or for Contest-related communications during the Contest Period; c. only if the voter affirmatively checks the newsletter opt-in box, add the voter to the ALL AT SEA email newsletter list.

Sponsor also processes technical metadata including timestamp and IP address, solely for vote-integrity purposes per Section 6.

Sponsor does not sell voter data to third parties. Voters may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Voters may request deletion of their voting record at any time by emailing [email protected]; deletion will remove the voter’s identifying information, and aggregate vote counts for affected venues will be recomputed accordingly.

For participants in the European Union, United Kingdom, and Canada, Sponsor processes personal data in accordance with GDPR, UK-GDPR, and Canadian anti-spam legislation (CASL) respectively. These participants have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data by contacting us at the address in Section 15.

11. Conduct

Participants agree not to submit nominations or votes that: include profanity, defamatory statements, or hate speech; attempt to nominate venues that do not meet eligibility requirements; use automated tools or scripts; or otherwise violate these Rules or applicable law. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who engages in such conduct, or for any other reason deemed appropriate by Sponsor in its sole discretion to preserve the integrity of the Contest.

12. Limitation of Liability

By voting, voters release Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising out of or relating to participation in the Contest, recognition received, or use of the Contest website. Sponsor is not responsible for technical malfunctions; lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected submissions; unauthorized access to the contest platform; any interruption in service; or any damages arising from participation in the Contest.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sponsor’s total cumulative liability arising out of the Contest is limited to USD $100 in the aggregate.

13. Modification, Suspension, or Termination

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify these Rules, adjust dates, change the form or scope of recognition, add or remove categories or regions, modify the format, frequency, or visibility of any interim voting results, rankings, or percentage displays, or suspend or terminate the Contest at any time for any reason, including without limitation in response to technical failure, fraud, insufficient participation, legal change, or force majeure. Any such change will be reflected on the Contest page, and the updated rules will apply from that point forward.

Sponsor further reserves the right to interpret these Rules and resolve any ambiguities or disputes arising under them, and all such determinations shall be final and binding.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Rules and the Contest are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Rules shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Voters consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Winners List and Contact

A list of winners will be published in ALL AT SEA Caribbean Magazine and at allatsea.net/awards. Voters may also request the winners list by writing to the address below.

Future contests in the ALL AT SEA Caribbean Marine Awards program will publish their own rules with updated dates, categories, and recognition terms. Sections 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 are written generically and can be reused verbatim for future contests; Sections 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 15 are contest-specific and will be updated per contest.
