Onboard comfort is second to none. Air conditioning serves the saloon and every cabin; all with their own dedicated controller. The 180L/h Watermaker, cockpit fridge and grill/plancha, combination washer/dryer and a dishwasher bring real home-style convenience to life aboard. Starlink keeps everyone connected, while the entertainment package with Bose surround sound makes the saloon and cockpit ideal for evenings at anchor. Sails & soft goods are all in excellent condition. The synthetic teak cabin sole in the cockpit and sugar scoops feels great under the feet adding both durability and a classic look.
The Garmin navigation suite with dual 10″ touchscreen MFD’s, radar, AIS and autopilot with remote. Power is well covered by a 5-battery AGM house bank (New 10/27/2025) and an Onan 11.5kW generator (~4k Hrs.), supporting the air conditioning and appliance load with ease. The twin Nanni 59HP diesels with approximately 1,250 hours are reliable and provide an efficient cruise.

Accommodation
Step aboard from the sugar scoops, where the faux teak underfoot sets the tone right away. The wide, low transom makes boarding easy, whether you are out of the water, coming off a tender or from the dock. Move forward into the cockpit and you find a great space out of the elements, with room for the whole crew to gather for sundowners or a relaxing dinner at anchor.
A couple of steps up to starboard brings you to the perfectly positioned helm station, nicely laid out with a full Garmin navigation suite, windlass controls, and excellent visibility. All sail controls come back to this one station, with two electric winches, so the boat is easily handled single or short handed.
A couple more steps up and you arrive at the fly lounge. This elevated space is the place to be. With 360-degree views, it gives guests a private spot to catch the breeze, tan on the sunbeds, and enjoy sunset with a drink in hand. It is a natural place for stargazing or a quiet morning coffee, and it adds yet another social space to a yacht that already has plenty. Best of all, the skipper stays part of the conversation, whether guests are soaking up the sun on the fly lounge, lounging in the cockpit, or cooking in the galley. Nobody gets banished to a remote steering station, and the skipper never misses the party!
Head back down and continue forward to the bow. The foredeck is set up with lay-out cushions and a large trampoline area, a perfect place to stretch out in the sun, with easy access to the windlass and bow cleats. The Elba 45 is known for one of the largest lounge decks in its class, and as you walk the deck you feel that space. Guests can spread out, and everyone can find their own spot to relax.
Back through the cockpit, the sliding door and galley window open the saloon to the cockpit, blending the saloon and cockpit into one continuous living area. The saloon is bright, open, and uncluttered, with panoramic windows all around. Plenty of ventilation with large opening ports and overhead hatches, or close it up and fire up the AC for a cool oasis in the Caribbean elements. The large retractable saloon table offers generous seating for dining and entertaining, or lower it to convert it into a double berth for extra guests or a comfortable place to relax out of the elements.
To port is the split galley, thoughtfully designed as a true working kitchen, with a 90L drawer fridge, a separate freezer, and even a compact dishwasher! Plenty of well-thought-out cabinet and drawer storage keeps provisions and galley gear organized and out of sight. The white Corian countertops flow smoothly from one work area to the next, and the seamless edge integration allows the white countertop to flow directly into the dual-basin stainless steel sink with integrated drainage area. This layout allows cooking underway or at anchor to be a pleasure rather than a chore. With a TV that pivots out for movie night and the Bose surround sound, the saloon is as comfortable for relaxing evenings as it is for planning the next passage. And with Starlink onboard, staying connected is easy, whether you are streaming a film, working remotely, or keeping the socials updated.
Heading below, the four-cabin Quatuor layout gives every guest a true double cabin, two in each hull, with privacy for everyone. Each cabin has its own en-suite head with Quiet Flush Electric Heads, so there is no waiting in line and no sharing, which is a real advantage for charter guests and families alike. Storage is generous throughout, with plenty of room for luggage, clothing, and gear, so longer stays stay comfortable and clutter-free. Air conditioning serves every cabin, so nights stay cool and comfortable in the Caribbean heat. There is also a forepeak berth on the port side with a large storage locker on the starboard side. The layout works equally well for two couples, a family with children, or a full charter group. Midship on the starboard side, you will find the washer/dryer combo, a home comfort that makes extended cruising and charter turnarounds far easier.
NALU is lightly used, well maintained, and outfitted with the upgrades that make her ready to cruise or charter from day one.

Owners Comments and Boat History
NALU was purchased new and placed into charter in the BVI with BVI Yacht Charters. Always maintained to an exceptional standard and it shows. After three successful charter seasons she remains in great condition with less than average hours on the engines and generator.
I dreamed about owning a cruising catamaran for nearly ten years before we finally purchased Nalu, and the experience has exceeded every expectation.
Some of our family’s happiest memories have been made aboard Nalu, exploring the British Virgin Islands with our daughters and sharing weeklong adventures with great friends. I genuinely believe the BVIs are among the most magical cruising grounds in the world. Beautiful anchorages, spectacular beaches, and a new island to explore every day. There’s something special about spending a week together on the water, away from life’s usual distractions. We’ve deepened lifelong friendships, watched our kids fall in love with sailing, and shared countless evenings on the flybridge watching epic Caribbean sunsets. Those are memories we’ll treasure forever.
After years of researching catamarans, we chose the Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 for its exceptional build quality, sailing performance, and thoughtful design. She’s been everything we hoped for, wonderful under sail, incredibly comfortable at anchor, and equally suited to family adventures and entertaining friends.
We’re selling Nalu only because we’re moving into another catamaran that we’ll keep full-time on the East Coast, allowing us to spend even more time sailing together.
Nalu has given our family far more than we ever imagined. We hope her next owners enjoy her every bit as much as we have.
