Over $200k was invested into a major 2024 refit, making this Saba 50 one of the most comprehensively upgraded examples currently available on the market, now offered at exceptional value and with NEW stack-pack, mainsail & genoa on order from Doyle Sails to be delivered to the BVI for the upcoming season. ($13,577 Value!)
Her spacious salon, expansive cockpit, and signature Fontaine Pajot flybridge create an ideal platform for entertaining and extended cruising in comfort for 10pax charters. Originally configured in the desirable 6-cabin / 6-head layout, the starboard midships cabin has been professionally converted into a dedicated electrical and utility room, housing the extensive Victron lithium battery bank, chargers, inverters, and additional equipment storage. The adjacent head has been converted to accommodate the onboard washing machine, creating a highly practical setup for long-term cruising and charter support.
The vessel is powered by twin Volvo D2-75F engines installed in 2022, both with low running hours (approximately 1,500) and maintained on a strict service schedule by her professional crew. Electrical independence and onboard comfort are standout features aboard Stand By One, thanks to a massive Victron lithium power system paired with 2,340W of solar mounted on a custom stainless-steel arch. Dual 5kW Victron inverters allow the air-conditioning system to operate quietly without relying on the generator, while the 13.5kw Onan generator, installed in 2026 with low hours, provides ample additional power when required.
Highlights Include:
- 2,340W Solar Array on Custom Stainless-Steel Frame
- 2,000Ah Victron Lithium Battery Bank

Accommodation
Stepping aboard Stand By One from the wide faux-teak sugar scoops, the scale and presence of this upgraded Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 is immediately apparent. Overhead, the custom stainless-steel solar arch not only supports the impressive 2,340W solar array but also provides welcome shade from the Caribbean sun, in addition to the shade curtains surrounding the cockpit. The expansive aft cockpit is beautifully appointed with comfortable lounging areas, a large dining table with seating for 10+, and seamless circulation throughout.
Walking forward along the wide side decks, the Saba 50’s beam and clever layout truly shine. There is ample room to move comfortably around the vessel. The foredeck offers generous lounging spaces with plush bean bags for relaxing underway or enjoying sunset cocktails at anchor, while the dolphin seats on the bow pulpits provide a fantastic spot to take in the breeze and views under sail.
To starboard, the raised helm station is exceptionally well designed for passagemaking. Protected by a full enclosure, the helm allows for comfortable navigation and sail handling out of the elements while maintaining excellent visibility around the vessel. Just up a few steps leads you to the Saba 50’s signature flybridge lounge, offering panoramic views underway or for sunset cocktails.
Descending back into the cockpit, the living spaces flow effortlessly through the large sliding salon door and opening window into the bright and spacious interior. The salon feels open and airy thanks to the panoramic windows and generous headroom. A cozy and spacious L-shaped settee is to starboard around a table that is convertible to a large lounging area if desired (no cushions on board for this), while the L-shaped galley and island countertop provide plenty of workspace for preparing meals onboard. Whether cruising privately or entertaining guests, this salon offers a highly social and functional layout.
Accommodations aboard Stand By One are both versatile and comfortable. To port, the yacht features a large forward guest cabin with a private ensuite head, along with a spacious midship double berth cabin with its own dedicated head. Aft to port is the crew cabin, also complete with its own ensuite and separate cockpit access, ideal for crew, additional guests, or storage flexibility.
To starboard, both the generous aft owner’s suite and forward guest suite feature private ensuite heads and excellent natural light. The original starboard midship cabin and head have been intelligently converted into a dedicated technical and utility space, housing the vessel’s impressive Victron lithium battery bank, chargers, inverters, and additional storage systems. The adjacent head now accommodates the onboard washing machine, creating a practical and highly functional setup for extended cruising and life aboard.
The attention to detail throughout the vessel is second to none, and Stand By One reflects extensive recent upgrades, thoughtful ownership, and the spacious comfort that has made the Saba 50 one of Fountaine Pajot’s most sought-after cruising catamarans.

Owners Comments and Boat History
Stand By One was purchased in Panama in 2023, just after a fresh set of new Volvo Penta D2-75 engines were installed the previous year. Our vision was to take an already capable 2015 Fountaine Pajot Saba 50 and turn her into a first-class, crewed charter catamaran for the competitive British Virgin Islands charter market.
No expense was spared. After the purchase, over $200,000 was invested in the refit, including top-of-the-line electrical upgrades, new refrigeration and freezers, new sails, new canvas, and a complete suite of safety equipment, along with a long list of additional improvements to leave nothing to chance. The goal was a vessel that was 110% ready for the demands of a professional charter program, and we did just that.
Stand By One has been an amazing vessel for us. She has been reliable, comfortable, and a favorite with our guests, and she has earned her place in the fleet. As our charter operation has grown, we have reached the point where we need to move her on, and we hope to see her go to a new owner who will love her as we have while running a charter business or, better yet, sail her into the sunset!
For the right buyer, this is a real opportunity. The hard work and the money have already been done. The refit is complete, the systems are proven, and the vessel has charter momentum behind her. You get to step in and benefit from all of it without starting from scratch.
The ideal situation would be for the new owner to take over the 2026/27 charter season, honoring the existing bookings and crew contracts, and keep the program running. You can block out dates whenever you want to come and enjoy her for yourself, with none of the hassle of looking after a boat. Our professional crew handles the sailing, bookings, maintenance, and guests. The charter income helps to offset operating expenses. Your time aboard is simply the time you choose to take without the headache of managing a vessel.
This really is an excellent opportunity to own a crewed charter-ready Saba 50 in the heart of the BVI. We are sad to see her go, but we are confident she will give her next owner the same great experience she has given us.
