Every boat wins a Christmas hamper at this annual Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association (TTSA) holiday tradition! Starting at noon at Hart’s Cut, Chaguaramas, the event welcomes sailors of all ages and experience levels for friendly competition. Last year, 29 boats participated. Classes expected this year include keelboats, ILCA, C420, MR15, SR Max, Optimist and Challenger. New this year is a Christmas Pop-Up Market featuring local crafts, gifts and treats, plus live parang music, prize-giving and a traditional Trinidadian Christmas lime following racing. “It’s a festive gathering where sailors, families, friends and visitors can come together to celebrate the season and enjoy the warmth of our sailing community,” says Michelle Kong, TTSA general manager.
