Kemah Boardwalk Fourth of July Fireworks

Kemah Boardwalk’s Independence Day show fires from a barge at the mouth of Clear Lake, one of the busiest boating spots on Galveston Bay. The display usually goes up at 9:30 pm. Where to watch: From the water: the barge sits on the south side of Clear Creek Channel about 1,000 feet east of the Boardwalk, with an 850-foot standing zone; the channel is the only way in and out of Clear Lake, so raft up outside the zone and keep the channel open. Ashore: Kemah Boardwalk (free entry, paid parking) and the Seabrook side of the channel.
