Destin’s Independence Day show lights up the harbor at HarborWalk Village, where the water often holds as many spectators as the boardwalk. The display usually goes up at 9:00 pm. Where to watch: From the water: the harbor and East Pass fill with boats; HarborWalk’s seasonal barge sits in East Pass and the Coast Guard’s standing zone keeps boats 700 feet off it during displays. Fireworks dinner cruises leave the harbor. Ashore: HarborWalk Village and the harbor boardwalk.
