Counting Stars
A 2022 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 44 bareboat monohull, three cabins and two heads, based year-round at Puerto del Rey Marina in Fajardo.

Puerto del Rey Marina, Fajardo, Puerto Rico
Year-round Confirmed
Counting Stars is the fleet’s one monohull, a 2022 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 44, for sailors who would rather feel a boat heel than watch a level saloon. She has three cabins and two heads, with air conditioning and a generator.
A monohull points higher and talks back more, which turns the upwind leg east to Culebra into part of the fun. Her equipment list doesn’t show a watermaker, so it is worth asking about if you plan long stretches at anchor.

Sailing from Fajardo: Culebra, Vieques and the Spanish Virgins
Puerto Rico's east coast is the jumping-off point for the Spanish Virgin Islands. Isla Palomino is a short first hop from Fajardo, and Culebra, Culebrita and Vieques lie east and south, each within a day's sail. They are all part of Puerto Rico, so there is no customs clearance between the marina and their anchorages. Going on to the US or British Virgin Islands is a border crossing with its own rules, so check with your charter company before you plan it.
