Every Columbus Day weekend, a large fleet of private boats anchors and rafts up off Elliott Key in Biscayne National Park. Nobody organises it; park rangers, the Coast Guard and FWC police it with limits on rafting and spacing and zero tolerance for boating under the influence.
- On the water: An unorganised mass anchoring and raft-up of mostly powerboats off Elliott Key over the holiday weekend. Historically it followed the Columbus Day Regatta, a sailing race from off Coconut Grove down the bay.
- Where to watch: On the water only. The park directs boats into a marked anchorage on the west side of Elliott Key.
