Virgin Islands Game Fishing Club Hosts Kid’s Tournament – July 2

Kids and teens – let’s go fishing! The July Open Kid’s Tournament, hosted by the Virgin Islands Game Fishing Club (VIGFC), will take place on Sunday July 2 at the IGY American Yacht Harbor (AYH) Marina in Red Hook, St. Thomas. Participation is open to all youth 15 years of age and under. Youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The first 250 to sign up will receive FREE entry, which includes a T-shirt, backpack, handline and bait. All entrants receive FREE pizza from Island Time Pub and a drink after fishing. Registration starts at 8 a.m. at the VIGFC tables at AYH. Fish from any dock, rock or stump in AYH – just stay on shore! The Official Weigh-In will take place at 11 a.m. Prizes, include trophies crafted by My Brother’s Workshop, gift certificates, cash and much more donated by community businesses such as Diamonds International, Budget Marine, East End Flower Shop and Guardian Insurance will be awarded in three age groups: up to 6 years, 7- to 12-years and 13- to 15-years.
