War heroes will compete with world-class anglers at the 6th Annual Cheeca Lodge All-American Backcountry Fishing Tournament, November 8 to 10, 2018, at Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, FL. Timed to coincide with Veteran’s Day, and inspired by 41st President George Bush, an avid Florida Keys angler and frequent visitor to Cheeca, the event invites two war heroes to join the competition.

“We’re pleased to bring this world-class tournament back to the newly renovated and reopened Cheeca,” commented Bob LaCasse, general manager. “At this event, the finest inshore anglers can mingle with fishing celebrities, while competing in our fabulous Keys fisheries. The tournament honors veterans and supports the community-based non-profit Guides Trust Foundation.”

New this year is a November 9 presentation by Andy Mill, a world-famous fly angler, former alpine ski racer and two-time Olympian. Mill’s presentation, ‘A Passion for Tarpon’, will begin at 6 p.m. www.cheeca.com
