Riviera has announced that it is set to launch two triple-engine CMD Zeus® models in early 2012, the 53  Flybridge and 5800 Sport Yacht. The announcement was made in conjunction with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Oct. 27-31 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Both powered by triple Cummins MerCruiser Diesel QSC8.3L 600 hp engines linked to the revolutionary Zeus pod drives, the new 5800 Sport Yacht model builds on the extraordinary success of the Riviera 4400 and 5000 Sport Yachts, both powered by twin Cummins MerCruiser Diesel twin Zeus pod drives, Â that have won numerous Boat of the Year awards around the globe. The new 53 Flybridge has been developed in-house after two years of detailed consultation with boat owners from a variety of countries.
The Zeus propulsion package offers easy maneuvering in close quarters as well as improved performance over conventional drive systems. The system features intuitive joystick docking, automatic trim tabs and Skyhook® stationkeeping capability.
Both the 53 Flybridge and the 5800 Sport Yacht are slated to hit the water in early 2012.
