Several Horizon yacht models will make their debuts at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) October 31 – November 4, 2018. Highlighting the diverse display at Red Zone F Dock, Slips 600-606, is the brand new, custom built and designed Horizon CC115 superyacht, which will be joined by the new Horizon V68 motoryacht, a brand new E88 skylounge motoryacht, and the sleek and stylish FD85 motoryacht. Augmenting Horizon’s motoryacht showcase, a selection of yachts from the yard’s Power Catamaran series will be on display at F Dock slips 18, 18A and 18B, including the flagship PC74, the PC52, and the brand new PC65.
The new Horizon CC115 is based on the hull design of Horizon’s RP110 model, which has been extended to accommodate a spacious beach club. Her South American owners worked alongside Horizon and designer Cor D. Rover to draw an exterior profile highlighted by expansive windows and spacious deck areas, including a foredeck theater area.
Horizon and interior design firm Taller ADG created a modern interior that invites the outdoor environment into the yacht’s 25’ beam. Bespoke furniture complemented by tones of silver and grey and highlighted by custom Italian Listone Giordano woodwork further distinguishes this stylish interior, which accommodates guests in five spacious staterooms including an on-deck master.
At the center of the CC115’s design is the large beach club that features a day head and plenty of storage for the family’s water toys. Sliding glass doors access the hi/lo swim platform, which has been configured to launch either the owners’ personal sea plane or the yacht’s tenders via a custom track system. Powered by twin CAT C32A of 1,600hp each, the CC115 cruises at 12 knots and achieves a maximum speed of 17 knots.

The most popular of Horizon’s series, the award-winning Horizon E88 has a new model debuting at the boat show this year. Specified for the U.S. market, this latest E88 boasts an enclosed skylounge and a unique interior layout featuring an extended salon and a breakfast bar in the area typically reserved for formal dining. Designed for entertaining, the new E88 offers a spacious sun deck that has been wired and padded for a davit if preferred, but comes delivered with removable fiberglass lounge seating and a sunbed.
Four en suite staterooms, including a full-beam master, are accommodated within the E88’s 21’ beam. Offering a spacious beach club and hi/lo swim platform, the E88 is equipped with twin MAN 1,800hp engines, zero-speed stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, and an island-friendly 5’ 5” draft.
Another boat show debut is that of the Horizon V68, created in collaboration with designer Jonathan Quinn Barnett. The new V68 is the third model in Horizon’s V series, which includes the V72 and V80. The V68 is a concept developed in response to one question: What is the largest vessel two people, or perhaps a small family, could use comfortably and safely to enjoy the yachting lifestyle? The reply was the V68; equipped with twin CAT C18 1,150hp engines, she tops out at 25 knots and cruises comfortably at 21 knots. The 19’6” beam provides an abundance of space that is incredibly well utilized throughout the stylish V68, from the beach club aft to the foredeck seating and dining area.
Rounding out Horizon’s diverse motoryacht showcase is the FD85, which debuted at last year’s show to much acclaim. Equipped for the American market, the raised pilothouse FD85 boasts superior cruising capabilities that complement an efficient layout designed to maximize indoor/outdoor living and entertaining.
Like the FD87 Skyline, the FD85 also features a striking Cor D. Rover exterior design and voluminous 23’3” beam. Extensive al fresco entertaining spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows in the main salon are among her many impressive features, including the on-deck master stateroom and four lower-deck guest cabins. Thanks to a High Performance Piercing Bow (HPPB) and fast displacement hull form, the FD85 boasts an impressive and stable ride as well as efficient cruising speeds between 10 and 16 knots.

There will also be an impressive Horizon power catamaran display at the show this year, starting with the debut of the brand new PC65. The new PC65’s advanced hull design is the culmination of decades of catamaran hull development, tank testing and CFD analysis. The versatility of the PC65 will appeal to the seasoned yachtsman and is available in either open flybridge or skylounge versions with several layout and custom interior options. Powered by twin CAT C12-9 diesels, this PC65 boasts an impressive top speed of 26 knots and excellent stability, thanks to her optimized hull form.
The flagship of the Power Catamaran Series, the PC74 features the elegant design and excellent seakeeping of luxury motoryachts coupled with the superior cruising stability and voluminous interior and exterior spaces provided by catamarans. Borrowing from the successful elements of the PC52 and PC60 powercats, this design is intended to appeal to both first-time owners and experienced catamaran clients.
Exterior and interior styling is from J.C. Espinosa, and the voluminous 28’ 4” beam provides for a spacious salon with an on-deck king-sized Master stateroom forward and three further guest staterooms and crew quarters on the lower deck. Exterior entertaining and lounging areas are plentiful on the PC74, from the multi-functional, air-conditioned open flybridge equipped with a full-service bar, day head with shower, BBQ and dining and lounging areas. Designed for the American market, the PC74 is equipped with economical CAT 1136hp engines and boasts an impressive 930nm range at an 11-knot cruise.
Designed for easy owner operation, Horizon’s popular PC52 power catamaran is the ideal ocean-going, family cruising yacht. With the entire starboard hull dedicated to the owners, the three-cabin layout sleeps six in comfort. On the flybridge, the entertaining space houses a BBQ and davit to launch the jet ski and tender. Powered by Cummins 550hp engines, the PC52 cruises at 17 knots with a top speed of 22 knots.
