The Moorings will debut a brand new premium yacht for crewed yacht sailing vacations in the British Virgin Islands beginning December 2012. As the fleet’s new flagship catamaran, the Moorings 5800 offers extraordinary space in a 3-tiered design with five guest staterooms – all with private en-suite baths.

With services of a professional Captain and Chef aboard this 58-foot yacht, guests will experience the very best comforts of a private yacht sailing vacations with the spirit of adventure and freedom to sail a personalized itinerary. This all-inclusive vacation includes gourmet, Chef-prepared meals, a full bar and water toys such as kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkeling gear. With the Captain at the helm, guests will travel where cruise ships cannot venture along a customized itinerary to stop when they want, where they want.

Cheryl Powell, Chief Operating Officer of The Moorings, remarked, “The Moorings 5800 is yet another fantastic achievement by Robertson & Caine and the most revolutionary yacht ever offered by The Moorings.” The innovative split-level accommodation plan positions two guest staterooms on the main bridge deck level, as well as three guest staterooms and a crew cabin on the lower deck. Each en-suite bath offers a large vanity, enclosed shower and electric toilets. The Moorings 5800 also features a spacious forward cockpit, which was a pioneering design element first offered on Robertson & Caine’s award-winning Leopard 44 (Boat of the Year 2012).

On the main deck of the Moorings 5800 Crewed Yacht, the professional Chef will prepare personalized gourmet meals from a fully equipped galley located to port. The adjacent saloon features a large dining table with plush wrap-around seating and wet bar. Just through a sliding glass door, the sweeping aft cockpit boasts plush teak furniture and teak deck finishes for the perfect al fresco dining experience.

Atop the large elevated fly-bridge, the island cruising enjoyment will be amplified by spectacular 360-degree views, stylish lounge seating and conveniences including a wet bar, refrigerator and extra BBQ grill. This is the perfect place to experience the awe-inspiring island setting as the Captain plots the day’s itinerary.

This yacht also features top-of-the-line entertainment systems with 46” flat-screen TV, DVD player, Apple TV, CD/stereo with MP3 connection and speakers throughout. Solar panels, an inverter and a generator will support all of the yacht’s power requirements.

Powell added, “The combination of voluminous floor plans, teak-style decking, cherry wood finishes, state-of-the-art equipment and air-conditioning throughout, makes this cat the perfect host for an indulgent and memorable sailing vacation for groups of up to 10. The Moorings 5800 is a pioneering design that establishes a new benchmark for the yacht charter industry, and we are proud to continue leading the way.”

The first of four Moorings 5800 yachts will arrive in the British Virgin Islands in December, 2012.
