Success of its fiberglass models has led Budget Marine to expand its Carib Marine brand to include aluminum RIBs

Success of its fiberglass models has led Budget Marine to expand its Carib Marine brand to include aluminum RIBs (rigid-hulled inflatable boats). The St. Maarten-headquartered chandlery launched its house-brand products with a line of personal flotation devices. In July 2017, the company branched out to the dinghy market with, with two fiberglass single floor models targeted to the cost-conscious boater. Since then, the Carib Marine brand has expanded to several fiberglass models with lengths from 8- to 19-feet. Last month, Budget Marine introduced its aluminum hull dinghies in 8- to 13.8-foot sizes.

Budget Marine, the largest chandlery chain in the Caribbean with nine island locations, enjoys a deep understanding of the tropical challenges to equipment that boaters face. Hence, the company’s experience in choosing dinghies that fit the regions requirements. This includes carrying a large assortment of dinghies sizes that are directly available, rather than having a lead-time of up to 6 months for the more unusual sizes, and the versatility to customize the dinghies at Budget Marine’s St. Maarten location by adding consoles and seating to customer’s specifications. This combined with the reasonable cost has made the Carib Marine line of dinghies a popular one. Budgetmarine.com
