Caribbean News: 2016 Optimist Championship Antigua

Optimist Championship returns to Antigua
One hundred and fifty 10- to 15-year-old junior sailors representing 21 countries will compete in the Seaboard Marine Optimist North American Championship, July 10th to 18th, when this major continental regatta returns to Antigua and Barbuda. “We are very proud that Antigua has been selected as the host venue for this prestigious event, for the second year in a row. Antigua has lived up to its reputation by proving that it has the best sailing conditions, the most beautiful venue – Nelson’s Dockyard and great hospitality,” says Paola Vittoria, chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee.
