Walker Engineering High-Performance Air Filters for CAT® 3500 Engines

Walker Engineering

Walker Engineering Enterprises., manufacturer of the popular Walker AIRSEP®crankcase fumes-disposal systems, has just launched a new line of high-performance air filters for Caterpillar® 3508, 3512, and 3516 marine engines.

These filters are easy to install, and are a direct replacement for the stock paper elements (part# 8N6309 and part# 4P-0710) that are currently available from both the Caterpillar factory, or various aftermarket manufacturers of paper air filters.

One of the benefits of the new Walker Filters is that they are designed to flow MORE air, than the regular stock paper filters…therefore improving combustion and helping reduce exhaust temperatures. The filters are also resistant to water and moisture, and are far less restrictive if they do get wet.

“Up until now, there has not been a performance air filter available for these engines, states Michael DeLillo, vice-president of sales and marketing for Walker Engineering. These high-performance air filters are an excellent choice for Super yachts, because they are also washable and reusable…that’s important when cruising in remote areas, or in countries, where import-duties makes ordering spare filters very expensive.”

Walker has been the leader in supplying closed crankcase systems used on Caterpillar 3508, 3512 & 3516 diesel engines for years; and the population of engines equipped in the marine market continues to grow. The addition of these air filters to the Walker product line is an important progression to offer high-performance products to the superyacht captain and owner.
The new Walker air filters are now available direct from the manufacturer and from select dealers.
