Accon Marine’s retractable cleats

Retractable Cleats
A challenge when installing hardware is that desirable flush-mounted cleats can’t always be positioned where they’re needed. Slim-Line cleats from Accon Marine utilize a sleek, space-saving design for easy and secure installation in places where other flush-mounted cleats simply won’t fit.

The unique design profile of these cleats provides both boat owners and OEMs with maximum installation flexibility while maintaining a contemporary and elegant outward appearance. The recess cavity in the base allows the cleat to be easily grasped for quick and trouble-free deployment. When not in use, it retracts to a flush position to protect against stubbed toes or snagged fishing lines.

Crafted from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, these Slim-Line cleats are available in 4.5, 6, 8 and 10in sizes.

McMurdo SmartFind S20 MOB device

McMurdo Smartfind S20 Personal AIS Man Overboard (MOB) Beacon
The McMurdo Smartfind S20 is worn on a lifejacket and activated by sliding off the safety tab and lifting an arming cap to deploy the antenna. (An automatic deployment option is offered when professionally fitted to compatible lifejackets, allowing the S20 to automatically activate when the lifejacket is inflated.)

The compact, lightweight unit is an effective aid to recovering crew and passengers who have fallen overboard by sending alert messages, GPS position and a special identity code directly to AIS receivers within approximately a four mile radius. A flashing LED light aids location at night.

A built-in high precision GPS receiver – which updates every 60 seconds – provides precise location, distance and bearing data. Onboard crew members (and nearby AIS-enabled receivers) receive all the information they need to locate the position of the person in difficulty, enabling a speedy recovery. The S20 is waterproof to five meters (15ft), will transmit continuously for a minimum of 24 hours and has a seven year battery storage life.

Galaxy marine antenna is compatible with Sirius XM.

Marine Satellite Antenna first to meet Sirius XM standards
Using the latest satellite radio technology, Shakespeare introduces the new SRA-50. It’s the only antenna in the marine market that is SiriusXM® approved, exceeding the most recent specifications set forth by the broadcasting company.

This antenna is compatible with all radios and docks that work on the Sirius and XM networks with push-on style, single input SMB connectors. It incorporates filters to prevent possible drop out due to interference from XLTE cellphone towers.

With four different mounting options, this antenna can be installed on almost every surface. Flush mounting is available. Owners using Shakespeare’s older SRA-25 and SRA-40 models can easily upgrade to an SRA-50 without undoing the coax on their boat. They simply have to disconnect the antenna via a connector at the end of the antenna’s pigtail.

Wear and Tear Pads protect against friction damage.

Innovative Topside Protection
Keeping the appearance of our yachts in good condition is fundamental to maintaining their asset value and here’s a new product that will help you do that by protecting cockpit and cabin sides from rope chafe damage.

Called the ‘WearAndTear Pad’, it consists of an ultrathin sheet of marine grade stainless steel, held securely in place with a high specification self-adhesive backing. Following two years of successful trials on the designer’s Beneteau First 375, where the Genoa furling line had been causing serious wear to the edge of the cockpit, the product is now available to the boating public.

The pads are laser cut, and priced from around $19.00 each. Over 8,000 are now in use around the world. Sized at 150mm x 50mm (6in x 2in) and 225mm x 50mm (9in x 2in).
