FUELING SYSTEM UPGRADES COMPLETED- Renovations to our complete fuel storage system have been completed and our clients can be assured of having the cleanest possible marine fuels available. Contaminants in fuel tanks, including water, sediment and various fungus can play havoc with high performance marine engines; especially when the tank levels get near the bottom. The upgrades included the complete cleaning inside and out of all four of our giant storage tanks, ensuring any sediment or contaminants have been eliminated. Our marina fuel storage is among the largest of any marina in the region, handling 90,000 gallons of marine diesel and 20,000 gallons of gasoline. The system upgrades were completed by contractors for Sun Oil Co., the marina fuels supplier.

BOAT SHOWS AND MORE BOAT SHOWS- The Marina at Emerald Bay will be participating in the annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show, showcasing the world’s finest charter yachts December 6-12 at English and Falmouth Harbours, More than 100 luxury charter yachts will be on display and hundreds of the world’s leading charter brokers will be on hand to view and familiarize themselves with those yachts they wish to promote. In addition, there will be numerous marina representatives and marine service vendors on hand all trying to woo the various yachts to use their facilities and services. The Miami Beach Convention Center will be the scene of the Miami International Boat Show February 13-17, 2014 and the marina will be exhibiting in the main parking lot tent. The Convention Center site is one of three venues for the Miami Boat Show. Running concurrently with the Miami Boat Show is the Miami Superyacht and Brokerage Show displayed along some 10 blocks of Collins Avenue on Miami Beach. The Emerald Bay Marina team will be attending both shows. Also in 2014, we expect to be exhibiting at the Palm Beach International Boat Show March 20-23.

AT LAST, HURRICANE SEASON ENDS!-Finally, it’s over. As of November 30, the 2013 Hurricane Season is officially ended, with not one hurricane hitting the Bahamas. This end of the season also marks the start of our busy season when yachts begin their return to the islands. A good number of yachts heading down to the Eastern Caribbean also stop at our facilities for fueling and a brief stopover.
