Discovery 88 – THE MAGIC IS BACK!

Kingship is cooperating with the award winning studio, AXIS Group Yacht Design and designer Horacio Bozzo on a new motoryacht project – the Discovery 88.

Discovery 88 is a unique timeless yacht of its own kind – a complete new formula in yacht measurement in length (LOA), width (beam) and waterline length for an 88-footer. At 27-metre LOA, she is designed with the widest beam of 8 metres and a waterline length under 24 metres. This MAGIC formula creates a voluminous interior space surpassing any 88-footer but the crew requirement still falls within the 24-metre rule because of her waterline length. She has the lowest maintenance cost as only a Captain and a deckhand are required to run the yacht under this category. Lowest at maintenance cost and biggest in volume make perfect sense for any sea lover to own a yacht of this kind.

The lower deck consists of a 24-square-metre full-beam master bedroom, 3 VIP staterooms of which one is also full-beam; and also a crew quarter for 4 separated from the guest area. It is rare for a yacht of her size to include 2 full-beam staterooms for her owners and guests, making her even more special compared to yachts of her kind. Owing to her wide beam, the main saloon on the main deck houses a large sitting and dining area with th e galley conveniently located between those 2 areas and the wheelhouse. Service crews can serve guests with their needs efficiently. Her flybridge is more than just a sunbathing area. Covered by a Bimini hard-top, it is a specifically designed outdoor area configurated with padded sunbeds, a barbeque grill and a bar where guests can enjoy top quality al fresco dinner at a sizeable dining table beside the bar. For this semi-covered outdoor space, we also offer owners with the options of

Powered by two Caterpillar C12’s engines, each capable of delivering 290kW @1,800 rpm. She can achieve a remarkable range of 3,500nm at 10 knots . This steel hull and aluminum superstructure yacht will be built to RINA – CE Class.

The MAGIC continues when she carries the passengers in her beamy sturdy hull to explore the untapped, challenging destinations of the sea world with uncompromised performance and safety like an expedition vessel. The owners are not settling for less to sail on this 88-footer as the magic formula redefines the pleasure of yachting!
