IGY Marinas today announced that it has expanded its robust collection of luxury destinations with the addition of National Harbor Marina. This new northeast location marks a milestone, allowing the company – for the first time ever – to offer the most discerning travelers access to its award-winning service and quality in the Washington, D.C. area.

“IGY continues to execute on its targeted expansion strategy. National Harbor has become a major tourism destination and hot bed for new development projects, making it the perfect location for IGY Marinas to expand its presence in the area,” said Tom Mukamal, CEO of IGY Marinas. “National Harbor and the Washington, D.C. region were high on the list, and due to the success of the development in the area, the marina provides great potential as a yachting destination. We look forward to working with local stake holders and our strategic partners within the industry to make this destination the yachting epicenter of our Capital’s region.”

As part of the integration process, IGY Marinas will team up with National Harbor Marina to begin implementing the company’s services and operations. IGY Marinas will also leverage existing relationships within its network, host special events and conduct philanthropic initiatives to raise the maritime profile of the marina to a new level.

National Harbor Marina is a welcomed addition to IGY Marinas’ network of premier destinations, with unique waterfront features and the impeccable customer service for which the company is known. The marina boasts more than 70 floating dock slips with the ability to accommodate yachts in excess of 150 feet in length with up to a 9-foot draft, and provides complimentary Wi-Fi, cable, water and refuse bins; security gate with pin code entrance; private shower and laundry facilities, and more.
